Home/Services/Payroll & Bookkeeping/Payroll Processing

Payroll outsourcing & processing in Saudi Arabia

Hand your payroll to a team that runs it the compliant way: salaries calculated correctly, paid through the Wage Protection System, GOSI kept in step, and end-of-service settlements handled. Accurate, on time, every cycle.

The outsourcing model

We run it, you stay in control

Outsourcing payroll does not mean handing over control. You approve every pay run and keep full ownership of your people and decisions; PROMISE takes on the processing, the compliance, and the platforms behind it. That means no in-house payroll specialist to hire, no scramble when rules change, and no missed WPS or GOSI step, just a correct payroll that lands on time.

Because PROMISE can also run your HR and immigration, your payroll data stays consistent with your contracts and residency records, so the mismatches that freeze government services simply do not arise.

Mudad (WPS) GOSI Qiwa
What we process

Everything in the pay run

Salaries, allowances & deductions

Calculated accurately for every employee, checked against their documented contract.

WPS-compliant payments via Mudad

Salaries paid the WPS-compliant way through the Mudad platform.

GOSI contributions

Handled as part of the pay run and kept aligned with each contract.

Payslips & records

Employees get their payslips, and records are kept consistent with Qiwa and your books.

End-of-service settlements

Calculated correctly when employees leave, based on length of service and final wage.

Payroll processing sits inside our wider finance service; see bookkeeping, reporting, and compliance on the payroll and bookkeeping page.

The systems, explained

WPS, Mudad, Qiwa, and GOSI, what each one does

These names get used interchangeably, but each does a distinct job, and they have to agree with each other.

WPS

The Wage Protection System. The rule that salaries must be paid and reported so the government can verify them.

Mudad

The platform that runs WPS, where wage files are submitted.

Qiwa

Where employment contracts are documented.

GOSI

Social insurance, where contributions are registered.

Why it all has to match

Your numbers have to agree, everywhere

The salary, allowances, and role in the Qiwa contract must match what is filed in Mudad and reported to GOSI. A mismatch is not just a bookkeeping error, it can freeze visa services and downgrade your Nitaqat band. Reconciling these systems so they always agree is exactly what our payroll service prevents you from having to worry about.

How we work

A clean cycle, every month

1

Inputs

You send us the month’s changes, new joiners, leavers, variable pay, and any adjustments, or we draw them from the systems we already manage for you.

2

Calculation

We calculate gross-to-net for each employee: salary, allowances, deductions, and GOSI, checked against their documented contract.

3

Approval

You review and approve the payroll before anything is paid, so you stay in control.

4

Payment & filing

Salaries are paid the WPS-compliant way through Mudad, and the records are filed and kept consistent with GOSI and Qiwa.

5

Payslips & reporting

Employees get their payslips, and you get clear reporting for your books and management.

Common questions

Answers before you commit

What does WPS-compliant payroll actually mean?

It means salaries are paid and reported the way the Wage Protection System requires, in practice through the Mudad platform, and that the figures match your documented contracts and GOSI. We handle that end to end so there is nothing to reconcile later.

Do you calculate end-of-service benefits?

Yes. When an employee leaves, we calculate their statutory end-of-service settlement correctly, based on their length of service and final wage, as part of the final pay run.

Do we lose control if we outsource payroll?

No. You approve every payroll before it is paid and keep full ownership of your workforce and decisions; we handle the processing and compliance behind it.

Can you run payroll if we do not have our own entity yet?

Yes, through our Employer of Record service we can employ and pay staff in the Kingdom on your behalf while you operate without your own entity. We will advise whether that fits your plans.
