Common questions

Answers before you commit

Can a foreigner own 100% of a company in Saudi Arabia?

In most sectors, yes, under an investment licence from the Ministry of Investment (MISA). A few regulated sectors carry conditions, which we confirm for your specific activity before you commit.

How long does company formation take?

It commonly takes a few weeks to a few months, depending on the entity type, the licences required and how quickly documents are prepared and attested. We give you a realistic timeline at the outset.

Do I need a physical office in Saudi Arabia?

A registered address in the Kingdom is normally required to obtain your Commercial Registration. We advise on the options that suit your setup.

What taxes apply to foreign-owned companies?

There is no personal income tax on salaries. VAT is 15% on most goods and services, and corporate income tax is 20% on profits attributable to foreign owners. Saudi and GCC-owned entities are subject to Zakat instead.
